To get to the point quickly: Lauren is a master class in real estate. You don’t get better than her!! My husband and I were first-time, millennial homebuyers so we were very nervous about the process and whether it would even be possible. From day 1, Lauren was phenomenal. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and realistic. She treated us like we’d known her for years. She was extremely communicative, always keeping us in the loop via text, phone, and email. When we were in negotiations, she was 2 steps ahead of us, ensuring that we got what we asked for, and that what we asked for, was deserved. The folks she works with like the inspector and Prosperity mortgage were excellent, so she keeps really good company. Whenever there were small bumps, she was a firm cheerleader for us, always advocating as much as possible in our best interest. In this market, our home search was a total of less than 3 months, start to finish, and I believe Lauren was a big part of that. I cannot possibly imagine going through the process without her. She will be our forever realtor and I truly cannot express how incredible she was.

My husband and I had a lot of anxiety about purchasing our first home. We had been uprooted due to Covid, the market was insane, and we had no idea what we were doing. Working with Lauren gave us so much peace of mind! We really wanted to learn as much as we could before taking the plunge into homeownership and at every house we saw, whether we were interested in buying it or not, we asked a million questions about systems, appliances, renovations, waterproofing - you name it. Lauren was extremely knowledgeable about both home buying and homeownership, and had a network of experts that she would contact right then and there to explain anything beyond her vast expertise. Despite our endless curiosity, Lauren never made us feel rushed. We got the sense that it was just as important for her that we be informed as it was to us. Despite houses flying off the market in North Wilmington, we found our dream home in a better neighborhood than expected, and Lauren's expert offer writing got ours to the top of the pile! To say that she was “on top of things” is an understatement. Initially, she spent considerable effort coordinating the activities of a variety of contractors in order to meet our aggressive target date for listing. This was a major undertaking that Lauren took on with her typical pleasant zeal and attention to detail. This was followed by the excellent and well-timed marketing, and then sale, of the house -- where Lauren’s superb negotiation skills resulting in the strongest contract possible, and a smooth a path to the closing.

We worked with Lauren this past spring and summer to find our perfect house. She was always available and responsive to our needs; we never had an issue scheduling her to show a home. Most important she also understood that we were first-time homebuyers and answered all of our questions (and trust me there were many!) without making us feel dumb for asking. She's also very knowledgable about issues within homes and taught us along the way what to keep a lookout for in the home buying process. Her honesty and wit make the stressful process fun. After a few setbacks, she always remained positive and reassuring that we would find the perfect house (and we did!). We highly recommend Lauren Madaline as a realtor.

My husband and I moved to Delaware from Maine. Since we knew nothing about specific towns or neighborhoods, we relied completely on Lauren's knowledge of the broader region, and on her familiarity with specific neighborhoods. We were not disappointed. Lauren knows the Newark/Wilmington/northern Delaware market thoroughly. We found her judgement to be sound, and her opinions and suggestions to be spot-on for our circumstances and preferences. She was comfortable to work with, offering constructive opinions of each property. I would use Lauren again to buy another home, and (when the time comes) to sell this house.

Karl was excellent. We were first time home buyers and he was super helpful. He was knowledgeable and steered us away from several houses with significant errors while teaching us what to look for. I'm somewhat anxious, and Karl readily answered any question I had quickly, thoroughly, and professionally. Karl's recommendations for attorney and mortgage company have also been excellent.
